The Parenting Journey
I received a lovely holiday email from a parent in my Toddler yoga class today, complete with her little one in 'Downward Facing Dog' pose. I'm so thankful for the gift of seeing these precious ones weekly!
Both parents and educators wish to inspire children toward a healthy lifestyle. Introducing yoga at an early age not only builds strength and flexibility, but can bring a level of calm into their lives. As a registered children’s yoga teacher, I strive to prepare imaginative, fun and thematic based classes for participants, but I also encourage parents and caregivers to create their own home routine. One way to begin is with a basic Sun Salutation or Surya Namaskara.

MOMS Club Book Reading with Ava
Returning to the MOMS club she participated in with her mother as a toddler, Ava helped to demonstrate poses during the reading of I Can Be One Too! A Child's Book of Yoga Poses.
Thank you Kelly and Kathryn for hosting!
Great Time at the Library
Thanks to Erin Gambrill, Children's Services Supervisor with the Carroll County Mount Airy Library, for hosting Ava and I today for an author reading and demo event. We read and demonstrated our book I Can Be One Too! A Child's Book of Yoga Poses.
A little one decided to join Ava on her mat for downward facing dog. Toddlers are the best!
